Our son Ryan has deployed to Afghanistan. How many parents have been to war, come home, and then sent their child off to fight in the same war? It's a strange feeling. And no, I don't think it's worth it. Ryan is a grunt with the Marines, and I won't be writing much about it, since he will be seeing plenty of combat. I hope he will be home safe and sound before the year ends.
Taylor (Army) and Ryan (Marines). Ryan is deployed; Taylor waits his turn.
Birdie
We have another foster dog (because eight isn't enough). Birdie is a 3.5 year-old Papillon, spayed, up to date on shots, house trained, and very sweet (but timid). She made the mistake of nipping at a child, and she was out of the house the same day. Sadly, this happens all too often. But she is safe with us and ready for adoption. Check her petfinder site here.
The Pups:
And finally, some puppy photos for you to enjoy. They are 3.5 weeks old in these shots.
